Another Triumph!

The Cómpeta Scruffs Dog Show was held on Saturday June 7th at the Pavo Real Restaurant. People came from far afield – the other side of Frigiliana, way past Sedella, Velez Málaga and even Antequera ! Thankfully, one of the 9 Antequera dogs, won a 3rd place!

People were amazed at how extensive the show was – the stalls, two bars, overworked BBQ; the judges from Seacrest & Perrotel Kennels & cars parked all along the carretera – with no penalties from our Policia Local! . The quality of the trophies was remarked upon as well as that of the rosettes and the doggie bags.

So successful was it that 2 local estate agencies, Sunset Properties and Taurus Real Estate were moved to pledge to donate €50 every time either of them sells a property. The raffle for a free week in kennels was particularly innovative.

The supreme pedigree champion (see below) also received one of Karen's Designer Cakes – this one made in the shape and design of a Spotty Dog!☺

Amazingly, in the current economic climate, we exceeded the amount made in 2007 !
All thanks to the generosity of the Sponsors and You! The final total was €2,975 !
