In the village of Puente Don Manuel Moreno's bar restaurant is very popular with the locals and tourists and so I understand is also their barman Oscar!

Oscar is Spanish but speaks perfect English and brings a great personality to the premises. Besides Oscar other reasons why Moreno's remains so popular is because of its food and regular entertainment. It has recently launched its stunning new menu which includes snacks platters, regular specials and breakfasts. The specials that are already a hit are the Langoustine Prawn salad, Thai chilli with noodles, English pork pie and co slew and pulled pork. If you only want to stop for a coffee why not try one of their delicious cakes with it such us cheesecake, lemon meringue pie, orange rum and raisin cake, carrot cake or the most popular Bake well tart!

The Mudejar in Archez reopened in November under new management.

The Mudejar is a lovely rustic building with both a dining area and centre patio space for eating and or drinking along with five unique rooms for rental on the floor above. Nicky and her partner Thomas have taken over this new venture and have opened up the building, which had been closed since 2010, painted it and added their own small touches. In essence the feel of the place is still similar to before as it is a lovely building full of charm and character. Nicky’s aim is for the Mudejar to become a popular place to eat or have a drink in the bar area, for both tourists and locals alike.
