Purchase of a Property
As a buyer you must take advice from a legal adviser before you sign anything or pay any deposit. Buying a property in a foreign country can be a daunting prospect but you need not worry, at Asesoría Axarquía we will provide you with a reliable, professional service in your language tailored to your needs and we will advise and assist you through every stage of the process by:
Helping you to obtain an NIE number.
Preparing the purchase contract.
Carrying out the necessary searches.
Arranging for payment of the deposits when required.
Preparing all necessary documentation for the visit to the Notary.
Accompanying you to the Notary and translating the title deed.
Registering the new title deed at the Land Registry.
Arranging for utilities to be transferred into your name.

Updating of Deeds
We can also help you to update your Escritura or title deed. If you bought your property a number of years ago, it may be that the description in the deeds is not entirely correct or you may have added a pool, room or building since you bought it. At Asesoría Axarquía we can guide you through every step of the process by arranging for your property and/or your land to be re-measured, producing the necessary documentation that will be required by the Notary and Land Registry and accompanying you to the office of the Notary.

As an Asesoría, Antonio is a qualified tax accountant and can prepare and submit your taxes for you on an annual basis whether you are a foreign non-resident (you own property in Spain but you do not live here) or a foreign resident (you live in Spain on a permanent basis). Tax returns for non-residents are due before the end of every year and those for residents during May and June. Tax liabilities are different for each individual so it is important to obtain our professional advice for your particular situation. Contact the office and we will give you details of the paperwork we need in order to prepare your tax return.
