QUE TAL

A new restaurant has opened up in Sayalonga. This white washed pretty village can be found 10 minutes from the coast just take the Algarrobo exit from the motorway up towards Competa. The restaurant is at the bottom of the village, you need to take the turning down to the outdoor swimming pool and you can find it on the left opposite the school. Astrid and Henning are the new owners of restaurant Que Tal and want to provide a creative and fusion Kitchen. They are not strangers to the hospitality and catering business as they originally owned a bar in Chilches. Then they moved to Gran Canaria where they owned a restaurant for 8 years. However, they felt this was long enough to live on an island and friends from Competa encouraged them to move back to the Penisula.

HOUSE SELLING VIA THE INTERNET

The internet has changed the way we buy all sorts of things - from paperback books to properties, the world has become a very small place! Nowadays, the internet is the best way to attract buyers to property for sale in Spain, making sure homes are seen by potential buyers around the world. With foreign buyers currently making up 95% of Spanish property purchases, it has never been more essential to advertise your home for sale globally. The only way to do this successfully, is to use the internet to its full potential. Expatriate run estate agencies (who deal with foreign buyers), tend to only advertise their properties for sale on Kyero & sometimes, Think Spain. However, there are so many more superb websites property can and ideally, should be advertised for sale on. Is just one or maybe two websites good enough in these competitive times? Probably not! Reaching a weekly audience of more than 1 million potential buyers is the way forward and this can only be achieved by advertising on as many international prestigious property sales websites/portals as possible.

COMPETA YOGA

Inez Leniere has opened Cómpeta Yoga. The studio is situated 100 meters from the Cómpeta Tourist office (direction Canillas) and can be found down the first alley on the left hand side. Inez trained as a dancer and taught dance from 17 years of age. She then moved into the fitness industry. Having enjoyed Yoga at Ballet school she continued with this element gaining her first Yoga teacher training certificate at 23. Originally from Belgium she taught classes there in both Yoga and Pilates but always dreamt of having her own studio. 11 years ago Inez moved to Spain and continued to teach firstly at the Gym in Cómpeta and then at the Alberdini Hotel and restaurant, as well as private classes at people´s homes. Now, she has been finally able to open her own studio. It is 85m2 not including the two large male and female changing rooms with showers at the back. It is kitted out with mats, blocks, blankets as well as an honesty bar with comfortable seats for tea and coffee after class.

EGO Pamper Nights

Mel at EGO is now offering “Pamper Nights” and instead of Mel explaining the idea to me we decided to hold one so I could experience it first hand! All you need is a minimum of six people and a venue. Whoever volunteers to be host and provides a few nibbles will then receive a discount on the treatments from Mel. The cost is 15 euro per person to everyone but the host and this gives you two treatments throughout the evening. That is the basic idea but what you make of the night in, is really up to you! Six of us organised this evening last month and the host was selected through convenience and location to all the group. We all brought a bottle of wine and a few nibbles but Lisa, the host, layed on a fab spread of pizzas and dips and Alison had made a chocolate cake for us to finish with .... perfect food for a girlie night in! Mel brought all her kit from the Salon including her treatment table so we could properly relax.
